Here's a good example from Fox News!
        http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2013/...sue-opponents/
A few weeks ago, President Obama advised graduates at Ohio State University that they need not listen to voices warning about tyranny around the corner, because we have self-government in America. He argued that self-government is in and of itself an adequate safeguard against tyranny, because voters can be counted upon to elect democrats (lowercase “d”) not tyrants.

His argument defies logic and 20th-century history. It reveals an ignorance of the tyranny of the majority, which believes it can write any law, regulate any behavior, alter any procedure and tax any event so long as it can get away with it.

Here's what pops up when I google "tyranny" and "second amendment".

To be fair this isn't from Fox News.

          What's the argument here?

"Second Amendment allows arms to fight tyranny"

Ric, I don't have a problem with you owning guns but there are a lot of unhinged people out there who own them.

My interest is in reducing the number of numbnutz who have access to guns.

Alex Jones is a kook, period.

Conspiracy theorist, 9/11 "truther", etc. I wouldn't put any stock in what he thinks/says.

To your broader point, I agree wholeheartedly. I've always stated I have no issue with strong gun control laws as we have here in NJ.

                  You should Google "tranny" instead?

                  It's much more entertaining.

I was a history major in college so I think I am more than qualified to say the following:

I don't remember any of it. Zero.

Another thread hijacked by Herr Green!

Where should I drop the payment so my thread can be released?

500 internet fights, that's the number I figured when I first joined igglephans. 500 internet fights and you could consider yourself a legitimate internet-tough guy. You need them for experience, to develop leather skin. So I got started. Of course along the way you stop thinking about being tough and all that. It stops being the point. You get past the silliness of it all. But then...after...you realize that's what you are.

I agree infowars is amusing, but are you claiming there aren't many people who believe in that sh*t?

I would disagree with that. I think it's bullsh*t but unfortunately I think there are far too many people who buy into that line of thought.

And I would also say that in the Venn Diagram of the world, when you have a lot of Infowar fans who intersect with gun owners... you've got a problem.

As I said... they could never bring the government down... I think basically they could just make our lives as miserable as theirs are.

I probably should have expanded my sentence to "Its always amusing when people use Infowars as an authoritative reference."

And way too many people buy into that. And I wish I knew why they were all facebook friends of mine.
