Does that formation intrigue you because they're all white?

I'm not talking about players making ultimatums
Originally posted by The Ref View PostCoupla things. Other than a handful of veterans and the first coupla draft picks, not many players on that field are secure enough in their jobs to make any ultimatums with the new coaches. Whether they like it or not, they will play with Riley Cooper.
Just a hunch, but I think Riley Cooper might have a drinking problem more than a race problem. Seem to recall a story about him punching through a car window in college. Cost him an entire season because of the injury he sustained. Sounds like alcohol might have been involved in that.
The sad part is that he's the very definition of mediocrity yet he actually might be the second or third best WR on the team. I don't know why this organization has so much trouble finding good WR's. Been this way for decades. One or two decent ones trickle in but never a solid receiving corp from top to bottom. If Jackson gets hurt, they are screwed big time. Then they've got absolutely nuttin'.The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it, ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is - Winston Churchill

The guy isn't good enough to deal with any potential locker room fallout IMO.
Pretty sure the eagles have other guys on the team who can't get open, lack separation ability, and are an average ST player.
Cooper makes Brian Finneran look like Fred Biletnikoff.

Why should Chip Kelly and the FO waste anymore time with Cooper?
Originally posted by Eagle In Ohio View PostI believe that if Chip senses in any way, that bringing back Riley Cooper will divide that locker room, then he won't bring him back. The only way he's going to get a feel for that, is to get his player's input. Not every single player, but the ones who carry the most weight.
NE didn't waste no time with Hernandez and he hasn't been proven guilty yet.

The Patriots ??

Edit : It's not like he's spending every waking moment trying to decide whether to bring back Riley Cooper, but he's got to at least try to gauge the locker room. Not every player on the team hates Riley Cooper.Last edited by Eagle In Ohio; 08-06-2013, 11:00 AM.The truth is incontrovertible.
