Foles won, but not with a great performance

A competent performance. Even a decent performance. But not enough in my view to have sealed the deal on the job for the rest of the season.

Statistically, it was a good performance. He really didn't look good doing it, though.

Though this game was more mediocre than the stat sheet would suggest, he's only had one truly shitty game. He's earned the nod.

The only reason anyone else should get a start is if Foles gets hurt. And if that happens it should be Barkley.

It appears that Foles will be fine in Kelly's system as long as he's willing to tuck it and get 5 yards when the situation calls for it. But Kelly really, REALLY needs to know that before the draft comes around.

Here's why: Even if he decides to draft another QB early, Kelly has to do that with the firm knowledge of the kind of quarterback he needs. If Foles is solid but unspectacular and they still want to draft the QB of the future, Foles' performances the rest of the way will provide valuable information for that decision.

Big dude with average wheels....he doesn't have the shake-off-ability that Ben does, but maybe that comes with time.

Jeebuz people. All I was suggesting is that it's still week to week. Stick with the hot hand, yes. But he could still cool off. If he does, you have to go back to Vick.

The Washington game scares me. They are going to be a lot more ready the second time around and they aren't playing as badly as they were in week 1.
If Foles wins next week, even ugly, then you might be inching just a little closer to a commitment.

Find a spot where anyone says he is brees you cant. He had a similar start so why not see if he can become a brees. Instead of saying nope move on because some jackass on a messageboard decided he could never be come that good. Why not let him play and address other areas of need? If he plays well the rest of the season see what he has next year as the starter. Let him play and see if he can grow as a QB and be the guy. He has played similar to some greats early in there careers maybe just maybe he could be one to.

If you decide to draft a new QB to replace the one you have everytime your QB has a shitty start all you will ever do is draft QBs.

Those are great qualities, but you have to be able to make the correct reads, which Foles is doing a really great jobs of.

The only reason anyone has compared him to any of the Greats is to explain to you not every great QB has come into the NFL and lit it on fire. You are so convinced that Foles cant be the guy people have to explain that to you as a reason to give him a shot.

But I am sure that is over your head so I will continue to think he should start and see what he can be and hopefully not need to draft a QB. All while you can continue hoping he fails and say he is horrible. Deal?

nope. i've said he should start, never said he was horrible (except obviously the dallas game) and certainly don't hope he fails.

the problem is anytime you read a post that doesn't land him in the hall of fame, you get irrational.
