You should talk to people from the Romney campaign about what they found when they vetted Christie for a possible VP candidacy.

Here's an excerpt from Halperin and Heilemann's book about the 2012 campaign.

    -snip-
There was a 2010 Department of Justice inspector general’s investigation of Christie’s spending patterns in his job prior to the governorship, which criticized him for being “the U.S. attorney who most often exceeded the government [travel expense] rate without adequate justification” and for offering “insufficient, inaccurate, or no justification” for stays at swank hotels like the Four Seasons. There was the fact that Christie worked as a lobbyist on behalf of the Securities Industry Association at a time when Bernie Madoff was a senior SIA official — and sought an exemption from New Jersey’s Consumer Fraud Act. There was Christie’s decision to steer hefty government contracts to donors and political allies like former Attorney General John Ashcroft, which sparked a congressional hearing. There was a defamation lawsuit brought against Christie arising out of his successful 1994 run to oust an incumbent in a local Garden State race. Then there was Todd Christie, the Governor’s brother, who in 2008 agreed to a settlement of civil charges by the Securities and Exchange Commission in which he acknowledged making “hundreds of trades in which customers had been systematically overcharged.

And of course the 4 dead in Bengazi still hangs over Hillary's head... but that's a fake scandal according to the looney left...

Not sure what Hillary Clinton or Benghazi have to do with Chris Christie vindictively causing a massive traffic jam in Fort Lee.

I like Christie for NJ but never thought he'd make it nationally

Too polarizing, too pigheaded. And after 8 years of obama polarization, enough is enough

Clinton taking a policy position involving guys dying in Iraq for political reasons doesn't compare to a traffic jam?

The original poster talked to "ending" of a national political career

Certainly relevant to point out issues with the lead candidate of the other party

It's off topic to this post and reads like an attempt to muddy the waters.

But since you are apparently obsessed with Hillary Clinton, I would say her biggest problem is going to be her husband.

His conspiracy theory show was pretty funny tho

I assumed he was approaching it with the same mindset as his professional wrestling career but who knows.

The Problem In Washington Is The Republican Controlled House

They've been dragging their feet ever since Obama was elected and fighting him every step of the way.

If you want to distract from the issue at hand.

Yes, it's a fake scandal because no evidence has ever been produced to suggest she did anything wrong. I know, I know...not believing in hysterical right wing conspiracy theories makes me "looney".

                              Much ado about nothing.
So he hires people that aren't accountable to him and engage in shady, vindictive behavior?

I guess that makes him perfect for POTUS.

Foxnews.com is promoting this and the comments call him a RINO (which is nothing new).

He's the best hope for the GOP to win the presidency and this will just give more fuel to less moderate conservatives to hate him.
