Bizarre success. Hats off to him. Making any restaurant business successful is really difficult. Usually happens on the apron strings of a great chef. In his case, upscale seafood restaurants. Especially clever in landlocked Austin. Twelve years from startup to a grand sale of what became (or is becoming) a franchise.

500 internet fights, that's the number I figured when I first joined igglephans. 500 internet fights and you could consider yourself a legitimate internet-tough guy. You need them for experience, to develop leather skin. So I got started. Of course along the way you stop thinking about being tough and all that. It stops being the point. You get past the silliness of it all. But then...after...you realize that's what you are.

I think the receiver group is sometimes overwhelmed by the better D backs in the league who know how to scheme for them and play physical.
I listened to Ray Didinger after the game and the next day on the radio. The first thing he pointed out was the "Djax was shut down because of great coverage" was incorrect. Upon reviewing the tape he saw that Foles was very conservative and took quick check downs when plays could have been made. Of course this is just me making things up.

My only problem was "he fucking sucks". He didn't play well.... but compared to his draft class in the playoffs he wasn't bad. Luck is a turnover machine in the playoffs and Wilson is also nothing more than a game manager.

I feel he'll get better because I believe him when he says he's going to work on his passing mechanics...strength...reading d's and everything else.

He does need to work on those things.

But he does not fucking suck. Brandon Weldon fucking sucks...Blaine Gabbert fucking sucks.

How good can foles be? I don't know. Would like them to bring in a more physical without with size....but give foles something the other teams in the nfl had. Good defenses.

I actually think the defenses got a bad wrap and Chips offense in general sets is defense up to fail. Th quick 3 and outs will eventually tire the defense which is exactly what happened.

But they weren't stopping the run all game. Seattle's o had a few three and outs yesterday but their defense held. Foles didn't play great but he did in the fourth quarter. He can improve...no doubt.... but I look at the positives too.

Like in the fourth the o went td..field goal and then td to take the lead. The good q bs can have iffy games but then bring their teams back. Their game wasn't much different from chiefs and colts except the colts held.

I'm not absorbing him...at all...he didn't play that well....but in the fourth with being down they came back. I think that gets overlooked.

I don't put foles at the top...because if you want to play that game....McCoy could be also to blame because he didn't play well either.

They went 3 and out on 19.4% of their drives, 5th best in the league.
Total number of 3 and outs were less than the Seahawks and 49ers, so I guess those defenses suffered as well.

football is a game of situations. I'll let another one of my co conspirators speak on it,

"That hurt us the most," offensive tackle Jason Peters said of the Eagles three-and-outs.

Isn't the oline and running back culpable for that as well? Correct me if I'm wrong....but weren't they in third and long almost all game? When they play well their running game and oline play well.

Again.... Foles could have played better... but so could the oline and the runningback

So the defense was tired on the first 2 drives of the second half because of those 3 and outs?

I'm not ready to crown him an elite QB but I have no problem with Foles. There's something that makes it hard to embrace him as a great qb. He's not your classic passer.

Similar success next season will quiet most of the doubters. Would convince me.

i think this is true. not necessarily a bad thing to be conservative but I don't care for his over-reliance on the mediocre cooper. i guess it's a size thing.

I would agree. You are right... the worry is that he doesn't get any better. He did improve from last year so that showed he can improve...his ceiling? That is to be determined. I do like his poise though...he didn't have a good game....no doubt....but he didn't fold either...I guess that is what impressed me the most.

He didn't go into the toilet after a rough three quarters.

He does need to improve his arm strength and needs to be more confident in his receivers. I like cooper...but would like to see them get a bigger more talented wideout...but I would keep cooper. Seems to do well in the redzone
