But I think the goal is to allow more teams into the back door and win games.

P.S. Eliminating the extra point all together makes much more sense than this stupid notion of taking one away but awarding two on a successful two point try.
C'mon just admit it, they don't want to f*ck with the gamblers. Adding the possible -1/+2 scenario is only going to encourage the gamblers. And maybe that's what McGoodell wants?--------

What?
You think lines are effected by people concerned about missed extra points.
Stop complicating it.
TD worth 6 if you go for 2, 7 if you don't.
Eliminates what has become an automatic time waster.
If it actually makes the game go faster ... I'm all for it.Obscenity is the last refuge of an inarticulate motherfucker.

I'm sorry ... I think you're wrong.
It's a new rule ... you view it from the perspective that an extra point is some essential feature of football ... I don't.
You can't stymie a golfer anymore by putting your ball between his and the hole on the green.

If this idea was so great it would have been adopted in the NFL when Vince McMahon first implemented it in the XFL 15 years ago.
It's all about reducing the number of special teams players required and increasing the number of games per season.--------
