That's a shame that's all you take away from that team. For me it was my first sports memory, the first time I experienced winning in any sport. And the kind of personalities they were made it fun, even if some of them were dicks. I really could care less about Lenny or any of the other guys juicing, and I happen to agree with you about Bonds and the fans in this area. But the season Lenny had in 1993 was remarkable...I'd give anything to have a player like that on this Phillies team. His life after baseball is an entirely different story.

that was a joyful time for me and the Phils added to it. If I remember correctly, the allegations about Lenny didn't even surface that season. there may have been whispers but Im pretty sure 93 was before the whistle was blown on a lot of that PED stuff.

Harry The K would say, "The call has gone to the bullpen..." -- the engineer would hit the play button -- and the guitar rip from "Wild Thing" would start playing in the background.

As for the World Series home run, he was a fastball pitcher and he went with his best to a fastball hitter -- somebody had to win and somebody had to lose. I could never hate him for that after all the thrills during the season.
