Not as excited as some if this results in Brown being traded. Spores is 31 and he is trending downward. Could be a one year rental though.

All in all, I'm okay but not overly excited. But, I do like what this team is doing. Most excitement I've had for Eagle's football in a long time.

Solid returner but here for offense

Sproles and Shady are both good in pass defense as well as running and catching passes. Now you line up 2 guys in the backfield and can run the same play to both directions and leave the other back behind to help with protection. You can also decoy to one or the other.

Its about the mismatches. Imagine Shady, Sproles, Ertz, Celek and Desean on the field. If defense is nickle you have the size to run it down their throat. If they bring in an extra backer I will take chances with those receiving options. Offense can be scary good with good execution at QB spot. With the amount of talent at skill positions, Foles does not need to play beyond his abilities and let his weapons do the work.

Just for the sake of it. Chip always had a deep stable of RBs at Oregon; there was a year where they had LaMichael James, Kenjon Barner, DeAnthony Thomas, and Lache Seastrunk (transferred to Baylor).

i'd trade brown and keep polk. gotta be able to play special teams if you're RB3 and polk clearly better at that.
