  • If there was some major problem with Jackson in the locker room

don't you think we might have heard about it? This is almost worst than the old days of the JoeLo unnamed sources and their SMEAR CAMPAIGNS.

I wonder what Jason Avant knows?

The only thing I can think of is the Gang thing is a problem more to an extent than we know.

Yeah... that gang thing isn't good. Flashing crip signs with another crip probably doesn't go over well.

That could be it... I'm sure McGoodell doesn't like the idea of players flashing gang signs.

But if that's the case, it doesn't seem like trading Jackson would solve anything from McGoodell's perspective if Jackson ends up with the Patriots or 49ers... two teams FAR more likely to win a SB next year if you subtract Jackson from the Eagles and add him to one of them.

Maybe Jackson has a threat out against him? This does not make sense.

There was that robbery at deseans house. Maybe there is more. Derrick gunn said the eagles shopped desean last year for a third with no takers.

Im probably in the minority but if they did trade....I don't know if I would be that upset. i like desean...but people saying he can't be replaced seems like an overreaction.

I think it's more financial than anything. Half the leagues players probably have some kind of gang ties from their old neighborhoods. What's more career killing is making $10m and raising a stink about wanting a new deal.

Hurting the cap > transgression than repping your neighborhood in the NFL. FO SHO!

Well, I think you have to keep in mind over that the long term Reid (FF) wasn't the best judge of character. I am not opposed to having then purging players he brought in. I just wish I knew what is going on here.

But offering to fight every n****r in the place goes over great in an NFL locker room. What fkkking planet are you living on? Must be planet Cracker.

Honestly, this just doesn't make sense. Jackson hasn't griped about his contract (going so far as to try to soften his position after his initial after-season comment). His contract isn't absurd and the other members of the receiving corps are a possible one-year wonder and a dude coming off an injury.

Teams looking to get a receiver have much cheaper options in a fairly deep draft, although of course none of them have proven their value like Jackson.

The ONLY reason I can see moving Jackson right now is if you're using him to make a big move up in the first (not trading him straight up for a first-rounder, more like trading their own first and Jackson to get up high). But then you're almost committed to picking someone like Sammy Watkins.

I guess it's possible there's some kind of major skeleton in his closet, but I don't get the logic of giving him away.

It seems most likely that teams have heard these rumblings and called to see what's up. But I don't get the 'at least a third-rounder' thing...unless Gunn talked to someone in the front office who said, "Dude, it's not like we'd trade him for a fourth or something" and that's how he's reporting it.

Like I said, I could see him being gone next offseason, but not now.

Lets face it guys, Jackson is a Punk, Hotdog, ETC:

He may not be a distraction in the Locker room, but his antics will bite the team in the ass at some point!

Which one of his "antics" bit the team in the ass last season ?

Was it the 1,332 yards receiving ? The nine touchdowns ? Stretching the field ? Making Cooper look good ? Enlighten me.

                        A-Men, Buckeye Boy!

My opinion of Jackson changed for the better when he finally had the brains to fire Drew Slimeball as his agent.

That opinion went through the roof when he had "THE Punt Return" against the Gints, and when he put up the numbers he did last year, the opinion was last seen somewhere beyond the stratosphere.

As far as I'm concerned, he could come into the locker room wearing Crips colors and flashing gang signs to everyone he passes -- as long as he performs ON THE FREAKIN' FIELD, that's all that matters.

As for the Eagles allegedly shopping him for a third round draft pick, that's the best example of "Boy did we get a deal or WHAT" since the Dutch conned the Native Americans out of Manhatten Island for a box full of junk jewelry.

I can't think of one instance that would make trading DeSean a GOOD thing for this football team. Maybe if there was a deal in place with Cleveland to get up to 4 and take Sammy Watkins, but other than that, no way.

At the end of the year he said he wanted to get more guaranteed money (none of his contract is guaranteed going forward). I don't see why that is unreasonable or enough to get him sent out of town. There has to be more to the story.

Either need to get out in front of the media and tell the fans what's going on, or they need to get up there and dispel these rumors. I can't imagine that any of this is making D-Jax feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
