Yeah you don't hear that either, it's all just Cooper hate on here because pride won't let some admit they were wrong about him.

you are stupid. Show proof Jackson was getting doubled consistently, nothing more than safety help guaranteed 95% of the time...that's why nobody ever posts any proof.

No one hates Cooper, but you want us to believe that He's Jerry Rice and Steve Largent rolled into one.

No. It makes one wonder why Eagles management moved heaven and earth and leaned on the players last summer to keep Cooper, up to then a total underachiever, on the team, but somehow Jackson is dispensable. Hmmm.

You find me a defensive coordinator that would choose to double team Riley Cooper over DeSean Jackson if given the choice, and I'll show you prime unemployment line material.

              It's because everybody hates Riley.

I don't generally collect autographs, but Jackson is the only guy on the Eagles that I want ... on the roster insert of the program from the Vagiants punt return game.

Edit : Shady was definitely a huge factor as well, but if there's no DeSean jackson, I can't imagine a coordinator not stuffing the box and letting a db go one on one with Riley Cooper.
Perhaps the emergence of Cooper made it less possible for opposing team to double Jackson, hence his career year.

but take Desean off of the field last year, and replace him with Jason Avant. Do you still honestly believe that Riley Cooper has the exact same year ?

I'll point out that I don't want Jackson gone unless there really is some major issue in the locker room that we don't know about. He's obviously talented, although I'm very curious to see what Maclin does in Kelly's offense and I think he might surpass Jackson.

I chimed in because I think this cyclic argument over who made who better is ridiculous. Either side can be argued. It likely comes down to Kelly designing an offense that utilizes his talent in a way that doesn't allow the opposing team to lock down the "one guy" who matters.

So now we're comparing Jackson to Jason Avant? Put Avant on the field and do you think Jackson has the exact same last year?

Why not put me on the field. Or some random practice squad guy. I'll bet both would have worse seasons.

Of course he's better than Avant. And so is Cooper. This argument is silly.

Then why do you downplay his season every chance you get? When you say Cooper wouldn't have had the year he did without Jackson, you are downplaying his season.

The point is that jackson has a unique skillset

One that defenses have to always be aware of. he has the ability to be lined up all over the field. How many times did Chip put him in motion before the ball was snapped, even if it wasn't going to him ? He's got good hands, and he's obviously very fast. it's not just what he actually does as far as receiving goes. but it's the perception from the defense as well. jackson goes in motion, now they have to wonder if he's going to get the ball while he's in motion or some other way. He's deadly in the open field as well, which is something that I personally don't believe that opposing coordinators necessarily think about all the time when it comes to Riley Cooper. I'm not saying that Cooper isn't a good wr, i just happen to think that jackson's presence opens things up more for him. That's not so far fetched, or "silly" as you refer to it.

Edit : It could go both ways to an extent. You wouldn't ask Desean to run a fade route to the corner of the end zone, or ask him to block a linebacker as you might with riley.
