Clem I love the Corvairs, I always wanted a 66 up coupe!

I'll see if this pic of my bike and my race car tow vehicle will load. I just put a bunch of pics on my album and made them public.

Isn't that the same car from the movie Fear, color and all?

I was wondering were the pic was taken, although it's been a long time since I have been there that location and stone tower look very Washington's Crossing-ish?

            cars

Fear, its a little earlier version of the same car.

The photo was taken in Wilmington at Rcokford Park over the Brandywine. Had many keg related parties up top. Real cool spot, real cool park.

I fell into that car, its a blast.

              Er like the cars

Is that a 63/62 tempest or lemans ? I don't know pontiacs too well. Friend had a 64 lemans vert back around 1981. I think he paid 2200 for it. azure aqua ( silver blue poly?) while interior w 326 w top. Awesome car. Something about B.O.P cars from 60's always liked.

Hey Clem, the orange car is a 63 Lemans the green car is a 63 Tempest, the only real difference is the taillights and trim. The 63's were a one year only body style.

They actually have quite a bit in common with your Corvair, even though you are rear engine, they use a very similar body platform called the "Y" body.

The Tempest/ Lemans have a very unusual drive train arrangement, the engine is up front, but the transmission and rear end are BOTH at the back of the car for a 50/50 weigh distribution, the new Corvettes since 2008 now use this configuration.
