  • So how much is Djackson worth?

That is what it is all basically going to come down to.

Right now he has the 3rd highest base pay for nfl wrs. The highest paid player on the team. He wants more. Is he worth more?

So all those in the Djackson keep at any cost just how much do you want to pay him? I would like to see him stick with the Eagles but facts are others are going to want to be paid. Players that deserve increases. Players like Nick Foles, Lane Johnson, Fletcher Cox, Mychal Kendricks, LeSean McCoy Looking at the other thread it was pointed out the numbers of Maclin are similar. If Maclin has a great year count him in the list this list.

So where do you spend your money.

Do you give Djackson who whined after the season about his contract an increase? OR do you get what you can and replace him with a younger wr for a better price for the next 3 to 4 yrs?

If you keep Jackson this year is there a chance you will have to hear his whine about not getting the looks he thinks he needs to get the next big contract? Will he dog it at times?

I don't know the man but it sure seems to me right after ending the season after one playoff game. A season that really in the beginning had no big expectations, a good teammate who is under contract would be talking about next season. Talking about how to improve the team to go further instead of his own personal contract. Especially when that player is currently the 3rd highest paid wr in the league. And the highest paid player on the team.

So you keep Djackson at any cost please tell me when do you want to give him his new contract and how much should it be?

I would like to see him stick but I also think he could be replaced for a cheaper cap hit without a significant in total offensive production by this TEAM.

Can we squash this bullshit already? DJax isn't demanding more money, he wanted more guaranteed - but even still, it's total speculation that his pay has anything to do with the emergence of these rumors.

When he said that at the end of the season, he was responding to a reporter's question. You're conflating the two issues and running with it as an established premise.

As an alternative, is DJax worth more to the Eagles than a 3rd rounder in 2014. I think that answer is a definitive yes. Probably worth more than a 2nd as well. And if you think the Eagles can beat anyone in the NFC w/ him, also a first...

Not surprising the leader of the torch and pitchfork brigade -- or maybe the something else burning brigade -- just can't stop blabbering.

I think it has everything to do with the fact that the Eagles have the second highest amount tied up in their wrs.

Jackson is the highest paid player on the team. Is his production or projected production worth being the highest paid player on the team? I don't think so.

The Cap is a reality. With others derserving an increase who does it go to. Maybe Djackson would take a pay decrease with more guaranteed?

The speculation that this is about anything other than dollars and cents is possible but I don't see it. What Jackson and his agent are saying to the Eagles front office and the press could be two different things. Remember his current agent gets nothing until Jackson gets a new contract. Agents want to be paid too.

Is Jackson worth a 3rd rounder (i think that is the starting point for negotiation) or better NOW considering he could be cut next off season. If he whines all year about his looks because the ball is spread around by Nick in this offense and his production is average I could see it happening. Do you think a trade would be easier then compared to this offseason ? I don't

Why not see what they can get. I agree I would rather have Jackson on this team this year. He is a demands the respect of defenses but I believe the diversity of this offense is what really makes it hum. Would he be missed I am sure he would but would he be irreplaceable NO AT ALL/

This guy is not only racist and illiterate, but he's fucking clueless about everything.

I guess all those things tend to go together. This guy is a walking, typing stereotype.

They're $16m under the cap with a league-wide cap increase next year. Why part with anyone?

Lane Johnson can't get an extension until after the 2015 season. He has to complete 3 years.
