Instead of whining about your contract after a tough playoff loss you should be concentrating on what would make the team better. Add to that his constant support of Vick during the qb competition and it showed Kelly he wasnt a team player.

He didn't just come out of the blue and say "give me a new deal". He didn't whine about anything, and even came out a couple of days later and reiterated that he was not asking for a new deal. People can't have it both ways. You can't ask these athletes to be honest and transparent, and then when they are, use that as reason to get rid of them. What Jackson said about his contract in no way justifies him being traded, and traced like a POS by this front office.

On the surface, the only thing I can surmise is that the Eagles want DJax to restructure his contract (not lose money) and he doesn't want to this.

Why? Maybe he's trying to be an opportunist for more money. Maybe he is taking an opportunity to be spiteful to a person(s) and/or organization. Maybe this is a way to leverage his ticket out of town, especially with Reid and Vick gone.

Maybe it was all a game of chicken that went awry because of leaked information.

Or there could be unknown issues, which I doubt.
