That's the simplest example I can think of.

Maybe
Reid had problems with DJ as well.
Chip is having problems with DJ
DJ has had some knucklehead problems.
Two things are coming to mind:
1)DJ is a bigger problem than we are hearing
2) You need more talent, solve two birds one stone, use DJs value/ rid yourself of a problematic personality.
I don't necessarily agree but I can understand the strategy."I feel much better now that my pants are on."- overheard conversation at a Gayte

Unless it was agent-driven I dont understand his wanting more money.
1. They gave him 15M up front 2 years ago.
2. I think his base last season was 6.5M.
3. Unless he really shit the bed, he would have gotten all of his 10.5M this year after the season he had.
So unless he was creating problems that we didnt know about I dont understand his quest to have it all guaranteed. Even if he would have gotten injured in OTAs and would have missed the season, he still would have been paid since you cannot cut an injured player without a settlement. And you cant tell me Lurie wouldnt have paid him. Theyve paid everyone whos ever had a preseason injury including Mike Patterson who landed on NFI. They wanted to cut his pay but still paid him the full salary.
Even if they wanted to renegotiate his salary, they would have moved some of his base pay to a bonus.

Uh, Patterson was paid because when the story broke that he was being stiffed, after he had nearly died on the practice field, the media and fans called them the twats they were for even thinking of doing it.Obscenity is the last refuge of an inarticulate motherfucker.

This is exactly the same misunderstanding with TO in 2005. Not more money, but more guaranteed money.
If I have this wrong, somebody correct me.

More money up front is more money.
Wouldn't more money up front or guaranteed money this year affect the pool of money for FA this year?
Something is not right. The thought of out right cutting him makes you wonder about something more serious regarding Desean Jackson.
Just speculation... but I always understood that you can't flash a Cribs sign unless you're in the Cribs. DJax has been a good citizen despite what people think, but maybe he's affiliated in some way and that has come to light.
Like I said, something is not right and I feel like its beyond the playing field and contract stuff.

All of this drama is due to leaks by Jackson's people in order to get a new contract with guaranteed money.
By leaking rumors that Jackson is on the trading block they've gotten a significant number of fans upset with the Eagles FO and the only way that things can be made right with Jackson and the fans is to give him a new deal.
Is that overly sophisticated enough?--

Streets are talking. They say that Djax owes Suge Knight 800,000 dollars for helping his record label get off the ground.500 internet fights, that's the number I figured when I first joined igglephans. 500 internet fights and you could consider yourself a legitimate internet-tough guy. You need them for experience, to develop leather skin. So I got started. Of course along the way you stop thinking about being tough and all that. It stops being the point. You get past the silliness of it all. But then...after...you realize that's what you are.
