  • So what's the excuse gonna be from this FO ?

They can't say that he doesn't "fit the system". After the year that he just had, he's PERFECT for this system. They can't say that he's not "buying in". Once again, after the numbers he put up last year, what wide receiver wouldn't want another shot at going out and doing it again ? Even with the Eagles having the league's leading rusher, Desean still had 1,300 yards receiving and scored 9 times. You don't think he wants to try and duplicate that ? If it's about the money and his wanting more guaranteed cash from what he is still owed, then Diggle is absolutely correct that Chip really doesn't know how to manage grown ass men who pull down a paycheck. You don't let your second best offensive weapon just walk over some dumb shit like this.

Did you read ANY of the Philly.com articles today? There were three articles on there from three different angles. The upshot is that Kelly has his team's support and that's all he needs.

It's amazing how many people bought into Chip Kelly and believing he knows what he's doing based on actual results in 2013 and now they think he's an idiot because he might trade a player.

Who do you have more faith in regarding the Eagles offense operating at a high level - Chip Kelly or Desean Jackson?

I could really give a damn about what philly.com says. You know whose words I want to hear ? Chip's. Howie's. Jeff's. anyone from that FO who TRULY knows just what the hell is going on, and as I've said before, they'd better have a damn good reason for putting one of theri best players out there like they have.

So you're fine with them just letting one of the team's best players walk ?

And now that all of this has come out, they'll get next to nothing in return, so tell me how that's NOT idiotic. I'm not jumping off of the Chip Kelly bandwagon, but the entire FO has handled this thing TERRIBLY, and that includes Chip.

If the "best player" doesn't want to play, why keep him?? He's under contract and still doesn't want to play for the team. What would you do? Give him 10m more??

EDIT : Did DeSean Jackson ever say "I'm not playing for 10 million this year" ?

If they win football games I'm absolutely fine with it. I like Desean Jackson. I like his game, I like his style and I think he gets a bad rap at times.

But if Kelly really had an issue where he thinks he needs to get rid of him - I won't be that upset because Kelly has already transformed the Eagles into a much better team that is fun to watch.

Jackson helped with that but Jackson was on the team when the Eagles weren't fun to watch. He went through his sulking period of not playing hard. He showed flashes and then disappeared.

Kelly has only shown improvement so if he keeps winning he can cut/trade whoever he wants.

So you think the FO just woke up one day and said "hmm...I think I'll trade/cut our best WR today. It maybe fun!"???

Get real man. Where there's smoke, there's fire. The FO and Kelly aren't that dumb to just trade/cut our best WR for no reason and for peanuts.

There have been many reports saying he is unhappy with his current deal. That 99% of the time either = holdout, restructure, trade, or release....

Well you know the rest. Then re-do the fucking deal. He produced at a very high level last year, throw him a fucking bone, give him a little more guaranteed cash, and be done with it. All this hard ass posturing from this front office has produced zero fucking Lombardi trophies going all the way back to Reggie fucking White.

Give him more than the 10.5 million he's supposed to make this year? Why does he need to be thrown a fucking bone? If it's because the rumors that he's spent his money poorly are true - tough shit. If it's because he thinks he's deserving for finally putting up a season worthy of his 10.5 a year - tough shit.

I'd like Jackson to be kept, but there is no need for him to get more money this year.

It's all greed, and I think that has at least a little to do with the locker room stuff too...other players see this diva complaining about shit all the time when he makes 10 times what they do in a year and they lose respect for him naturally.
