Can't just blame it on religion

26% of americans believe the sun revolves around the earth. And that percentage is even higher in the EU and India. Science and technology knowledge is less universal than we think

where I live, with lots of "Fundamentalist Christians" many do believe that, although it doesn't seem to be a strongly held belief.
And how about all those that think vaccines cause Autism?
One could go on with odd beliefs, both left and right. Yes, much of the human race is fairly ignorant. Look at how many don't know who their Senator is.
Or know much about History? History gets alot of college students.

Science has evolved and theories have been proved or disproved based on years of investigation and education. Health care has changed, modified, and continues to evolve while people base their lives, hopes and fears on a book wrote by man 2000 years ago and that has not changed since it came out. A book based on stories and fables. They still thought the world was flat when this book was wrote.... Religion is and was created by man and that says it is flawed, biased, and not in any way shape or form a true historical account of what happened.
