It really could be momumental for the Sixers if everything falls into place. I'm pretty pumped as well.

No doubt. If everything goes right, it could totally reshape the franchise for the next decade.

I'll be annoyed if they fall out of the top 3, but they're almost certain to get two guys who help right away. There's a chance that next year Thad Young will be their oldest starter by three years at age 26.

I'd love to see them get Wiggins or Parker then Harris with the Pelicans' pick.

May 20th is the most important day of the year. If they drop down the draft board, this team is headed to purgatory for the next decade. This is as 'make or break' as it gets.

I agree, though I'm not a 76ers fan. But I think they are probably the most interesting team to watch from a neutral perspective in this year's draft. Potentially could be the makings of a quasi-dynasty, or they could solidify irrelevance for a generation depending on where they pick and who they pick. Although with Nerlens No-ACL as their center, they could become like Portland in the Roy-Oden days even if they make good picks. Gonna be interesting to see what becomes of the 76ers in the coming years

You're right. Even the "correct" picks can be harmful. Portland did a great job with drafting after that as well though. Look at them now. They lost Brandon Roy just a couple of years ago. That guy had potential to be a perennial All Star. I can't imagine a stud like that on this year's Portland squad. They'd probably be the best team in the West (still might be)...

Front Offices and a little bit of luck truly make or break NBA teams...

Portland did (finally) bounce back well, but it took several seasons of sucking to do it. When I started watching basketball they had the longest run of playoff appearances in the league, a streak that started like 10 years before I was born. But beating Houston was the first series win they had since 2000. Gotta strike while the iron's hot, and it probably won't get any hotter for the 76ers. Good draft in the next 2 years and they could have the makings of something special

I want James Young with the Pelicans' pick.. Really will be a strong scorer in the NBA which this team desperately needs.

Like basebore, I lost interest in basketball over a decade ago. It seems the sport of dynasties, which bear no interest from me whatsoever. I like parity. Or at least the illusion that any team can win it all in any given year. And even if your team sucks for now, it's not forever. In the nba it is forever.

I understand you're not watching it, but if the Heat win it this year, they will have earned it. Lots of good teams playing good ball right now.

The NBA isn't like the NFL. The NFL has a lot of parity than the NBA. Two superstars on a NBA team is like gold and multiple championships for yrs to come. Spurs/Heat again bank on it. The NFL is all over the place anybody could win it. Ravens and then Seahawks ??? No one would've thought that out the last 5 yrs.

The Ravens and Seahawks were probably picked to win by more people than those who picked the Mavs in 2011. Parity isn't abundant, but there is a pretty good group of teams that stand a chance, in the West at least
