Sorry, but that's gonna get more than a few plays on the four letter network. Stick to the hot 16's, kid. Stay out of grown folks business.
I knew it would be showed repeatedly. But that doesn't mean it's not over the top with how much they showed it. And it looked more like a PR stunt than a genuine celebration. Most SEC Defensive POY would not be THAT excited to be a 7th round draft pick. In fact they'd be pissed and slighted about it more than likely. There have been gay players in the NFL before, so there's not a social barrier keeping gays out of the NFL. They just weren't all comfortable coming out. People in the locker room knew though. If Clowney were gay he'd be the number 1 pick regardless. If you don't think they are going over the top with this (not to mention the backlash against Don Jones and Marshall Henderson), then you are just ignorant of reality. I don't think that's the case though. I think you just try too hard to be politically correct, like most of society these days.

Nobody teamed up on you, don't flatter yourself. You were teamed up on because your views are so damn ridiculous that several people here disagree with your over the top BS.

The question was simple, and you were afforded numerous chances to offer up something meaningful, but chose to pass in favor of bullshit. The time has come and gone for you, my friend. Maybe next time.

        • How much sleep did you get again last night? While I was working, you woke up and got back on your soapbox again. I will chalk up your response as you just not knowing any better.

Bull$hit, all anyone that opposed your view gave you examples all day on why the ridiculous display was over the top. I'm sorry that you only read what you want to read. Come back to me when you have a clue.

              • Is how much they show it Michael Sam's fault?

Do you think he asked for them to put a camera crew in his living room?

So you don't think those emotions were genuine? Yeah, being gay and all I'm sure he's a great actor. The truth is, I highly doubt any of this has been easy on him. If I was in his position, the relief of actually being drafted, be it in the first or seventh round, and all of the media drama hopefully coming to a close, would not be as mundane as you so ignorantly think.

                        • Aren't you that douchebag who called me a racist because I said DJax was bad with his money? How'd that turn out? I think you wanted me to compare him to Johnny Unitas or Bjorn Borg instead of other former Philly athletes. This place certainly doesn't need another white guilt thread so I won't go digging it up.

I don't blame him, and he has the right to celebrate however he wants (though I do think it felt a little contrived). I just don't understand why it is shoved down our throats by the network, and anyone who doesn't like is automatically labeled a bigoted homophobe. Sure, some of the people that don't like it are homophobes, but the generalization that everyone who isn't 100% cool with seeing 2 men make out must be a homophobe is wrong and contradictory to the supposedly open-minded views of the people championing Michael Sam
