Because yelling racial slurs at concert security guards shows no poor judgement. Just don't mess with Chip's boy!

Thats your opinion. My opinion is a smart front office finds a way to finesse it. Renegotiate, whatever.

Since they didn't play it out, we can't know.

Of course that was poor judgement. But Cooper being an asshole outside of work is not the same as Jackson being an asshole in a work environment.

From the Eagles point of view, Cooper's actions were bad press and pissed off teammates/fans but he wasn't and isn't (as far as has been reported) having problems with teammates/coaches on the field, in the locker room, etc.

The one incident (that has been discussed as nauseum) was with Williams during training camp and it was during a drill - not an unheard of thing for there to be a scuffle. Nothing since then.

Jackson fighting and yelling slurs at his coach during a game was the icing on the cake, not an isolated incident let one that happened away from the team.

How can you honestly equate repeat insubordination and yelling at a coach with drunkenly yelling at a concert?

I wanted them to keep Jackson.

This lost opportunity shit is "who cares" for me in comparison

Particularly when what could have been gained in so remote IMO.

I agree with this. Even if you can't trade him, by holding on to him until after the draft you aren't telegraphing your need at WR like they did.

So which of Jackson teammates tried to fight him?

If you're claiming Williams "scuffle" with Cooper wasn't the direct result of Cooper's comment, you're ridiculous. Cooper was being ignored by the whole team. That's why the Eagles pulled him out of camp. Go back and read the reporting.

              Maybe Bicknell is a jerk.

Let him ruin their locker room and coaching staff.

Because most on here have a vendetta against Coop for some reason

As many do I think part of it was a money issue, I think part of it was a diva issue, but I also think that there was an intangible that many have over looked.

Coming out of college I think there is always a perception that you can coach kids that don't get paid, but don't try that shit in the NFL with men that get paid as much or more than the coach does.

Chip answered that question fully, I will bet that you will not see an Eagle player yell at a coach during a game as long as CK is coach, he set a standard with that move that raised some eyebrows.

Like it or not about Djax, but everybody else in that locker room knows exactly where they stand. That move set a precedent in that locker room and now Chip nor his coaches will have to deal with that kind of shit going forward.

Funny, his teammates could have said the same thing to him with the "effort" he put forth on that int that he never came back and fought for.

He had great moments here but I hope he sucks ass in Washington. He's the enemy now. Fuck him.

Only Desean Jackson can play his way out of a job in a 195 yard effort. Guess that sums him up in a nutshell

Some people have a vendetta against Jackson for some reason. Damn conservatives. See, that goes both ways.

You know, some people didn't like Cooper before he went to a Kenny Chesney concert. I didn't like him out of college. Glad that he had a good year and hope he improves from here, but your love affair with him is puzzling, since you sem to believe that anyone will put up numbers under Chip.
