Growing up in NC, I didn't get to see the Iggs play very often, but when I did, it was kelly green, silver and white with the flying Eagle holding the football in its claws. It was the Vet. That's what I grew up watching when I saw the Eagles. It's been a long time since the change but that'll always be true Eagles colors to me.

That Nike can't come up with a good looking, updated version of those uniforms. Lurie needs to just give in and do it. He'd probably make a hell of a lot more money if he did.

I admit I was foolishly holding out hope that the logo and color scheme would get an update when Nike took over as supplier for NFL jerseys. I've seen plenty of uniform ideas... some of them are updated takes on the Randall-era jerseys and look pretty sharp. It's time to do it.

Spadaro tries to re-write his own Eagles fan history, but some of us remember that he wasn't a fan until he started working for the Eagles... I believe it was 1987.

I admit I was foolishly holding out hope that the logo and color scheme would get an update when Nike took over as supplier for NFL jerseys. I've seen plenty of uniform ideas... some of them are updated takes on the Randall-era jerseys and look pretty sharp. It's time to do it.

To me, the one interesting thing about the 1969 logo is that they kind of had an "E" thing going with the wing on the right hand side. I think they were into that sort of stylized look back then.

Remember what the Phillies logo looked like around that time? A P with a baseball in the hole of the P.
