  • No More "Hard" Tickets

For season ticket holders. So BUY a program if you WANT a game souvenir!! Not sure I really like this, but maybe it's just because I'm an old fart....

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------
With the 2014 Draft now behind us and minicamps in session, our preparation for the 2014 season continues. In addition, our revitalization work at Lincoln Financial Field is in full swing.

We wanted to let you know that beginning this season we will be using electronic ticketing for your season ticket account that includes a print-at-home option, as well as smart phone integration. This will be similar to the process we used for last year’s playoff game against the Saints, but with the added option of using your mobile phone for entry into the stadium.

Please be aware that you will will not be receiving physical tickets in the mail as you have in the past. The electronic tickets will provide you with added features and conveniences. By downloading tickets to your smart phone, they can no longer be misplaced, stolen or left at home. In addition, you will have the ability to e-mail tickets directly to family and friends at any time.

Starting Monday, May 19, you will have the flexibility to:

    • Print your tickets at home.
    • Download tickets to your smart phone to be scanned at the gate.
    • E-mail tickets to friends, family, clients, etc.
(or transfer them to another person’s smart phone).
    • Post your tickets for resale through NFL Ticket Exchange.
    • Donate unused tickets to charities.

For step-by-step instructions on how to print, download or manage your tickets,
visit our FAQ page at philadelphiaeagles.com/stm.html.

We also want to let you know that you will be receiving a $10 refund for the handling fee that was originally charged when you renewed your account. This refund will be made to the same credit card used for payment or mailed out as a check, depending on the original method of payment. Additionally, we will be sending out a commemorative 2014 season ticket (one per seat) to each account. These decorative tickets will arrive later this offseason and are meant to serve as a keepsake, but will not grant you access into the stadium.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to us through our ticket office at 215-463-5500 or email tickets@lincolnfinancialfield.com. We are standing by to assist you with this process.

Thank you for your continued support and we look forward to seeing you soon at Lincoln Financial Field.

    Fly Eagles Fly,
    WORLD FUCKING CHAMPIONS!

That's actually excellent for guys who may buy tickets from the board members here like myself who did so on two occasions. They can just pay the member by paypal or whatever, and the guy or gal can just email them the ticket.

Maybe I'm wrong here but won't that make it easier for a scalper with Photoshop to make fake tickets and screw people over?

If million of folks got zapped while shopping at Target, anything is possible. I guess someone could crack the scan code for tickets and email / message / send fakes. On the surface, seems harder that counterfeiting a ticket, but who knows!

Good point. You can already do etickets via StubHub or even the various NFL exchange sites rather than hard tickets. For the few games I sell each year, I find most buyers prefer hard tickets, especially around the holidays for gift giving.

What I'm saying is, you don't even need to crack any code. Just get the layout right, use made up barcodes and you got like 20 people showing up with fake barcodes.

I get the convenience thing but you know what you lose? The ability to take a game ticket long after the game is finished and look at it/see the memory.

My wife got her hands on that NFC title game / last game in the Vet pic of me that was on Pravda, printed it, aNd had it framed along with my game ticket.

I have 30 years worth of concert and game tickets that I'll occasionLly look at And every 1 is a moment in time and memory of events, friends, and good and bad outcomes.

                So, I hate this concept.

That's how I feel. I don't get the concept if they are sending us decorative hard tickets down the road for each game. The only thing I collect are my ticket stubs from all the sporting events and concerts.

I'm not as into ticket keeping as you, but there are a few I'll never part with.

I have a ton of sporting event and concert ticket stubs. One of my favorites is my 1989 RHCP ticket stub when I was a freshman in college.

$4 to get in, maybe 400 people total there. This was before they exploded and "higher ground" put them on the national map.

Mothers Milk tour. Probably the most intimate concert I've ever been to.

Just because you like something is more reason to be against it. Thanks for chiming in.

Im all about it for me and IG. Easy transfer between our tickets. No more mailing back and forth or will call. I dont collect stubs anyway. Looking at a sea of losses and disappoint is just depressing
