Yeah but Deadspin wouldn't have posted this study if any other fan base was ranked number 1. The subject of Philadelphia sports fans has been a lighting rod for them for years.

What interests me is that teams that have just sucked consistently (in terms of performance and attendance) or have been really good have stayed flat and are at the bottom of the list. If anything, I think the study points to the how much roller coaster the Phillies have been over the past 15 years. Shitty to awesome to shitty with a stadium change to boot.
