I've been lurking on the page quite a bit, really not posting anything. The Philly sports scene since January has been pretty dire and that's why I haven't posted anything.
However, I do have some news to share with you guys. For those that have met me at the 2 tailgates I attended (gee, was it 6 years ago already the last one I attended?), anyway, you know that I was a pretty hefty guy for being only 5'10". The operative word WAS.
Back on the 20th of April, I started an exercise program here at work running the stairs when I could and then on the 30th, I joined the gym next door. I also followed my wife's lead and went vegan. I've been going to the gym 7 days a week when I can and have cut out all the shit I was eating before.
I have lost 39lbs since April 20 and feel so much better for it. Yeah, I miss the butter, the bread, the croissants, the pancakes, the cakes, the donuts, the sugar in my cereal and hot tea, but as I said, I feel so much better for it. When I figure out how to post photos on here, I will post a then and now photo.
Anyway, the Birds start camp on Friday and I cannot wait and hope that they lift the fog of what has been 7 months of forgettable Philly pro sports.
