“Yeah. At least give us a shot. But you know what? I’m not surprised with the referees this season. If you really look at some plays, we’re playing more than our opponents. We’re playing the referees too. I don’t care what anybody is saying. Something is wrong. That needs to be brought up,” Thomas said, via the Seattle Times. “It’s kind of crazy how football is turning out now. You give a guy, just because he wears a white and black shirt, he has authority of the game. Man, they need to stay out of it — that’s my key — and let us dominate.”

I guess this means not picking him was a good move though, right?
Also, he has some balls. They got away with tons of DPI/holding on the run to their SB win."If I was racist in my opinion of QB's, I wouldn't have a dog named Donovan." - downundermike

In all honesty, it's probably true. I'm sure the NFL wasn't pleased to have their golden boy Manning get embarrassed on the biggest stage in the world by the Seahawks, so they don't want to see that again.
The guy is frustrated after losing a game he knows they shouldn't have lost. If I'm not mistaken, it's about the only time I have heard him say anything even remotely stupid.

Seattle is 11th in defensive penalties and 8th in offensive penalties with 23 and 28 respectively.
It doesn't appear that they're being singled out to me. It looks like he's bitching that they're not getting away defensive holding like they were last year."If I was racist in my opinion of QB's, I wouldn't have a dog named Donovan." - downundermike

Part of the reason was the SB and embarrassing golden-boy Manning
The other part was the Seattle players stating publicly:
"Sure we hold on every play, but the refs aren't going to call every one"
That sort of thumbing your nose at the league didn't sit well
They happily took the Fail Mary win in their favor (and acted like dickheads about it), and now that bad juju is coming home to roost.
Hey Seattle, eat a dick
