I enjoy visiting NYC, although after a couple days it does "press in" on me.
I can say I like East Hampton better than the City. Nice hiking around there.

Right over the bridge south of Ocean City - north end of the Sea Isle Island.
Free Beach - you can drink beer on the beach, and very few people there.
I forget the name of the beach - IG knows it.

I like the Deauville Inn, don't know what the slogan is though.
I believe the Strathmere Motel may be one of the best places to stay at the shore, although the motel on the boardwalk in OC at 14th street is great.

Next time you're in town check out a little dive bar called Twisty's. You can get there by car or boat. Look for the Strathmere water tower. Twisty's sits right underneath.
