  • How do you protect a young, rookie QB?

Get him a running game that can move the chains. Hmmm. I'm starting to see a method to the madness.

How can you protect an injury plagued QB?

This Mariotta thing has gone too far. There is ZERO chance he is an Eagles tomorrow night. Not happening.

Chip traded great value for Sam Bradford to be the Eagle's 2015 QB.

MM's best chance to be a star in this league is....

....to be with Chip Kelly. Don't for a second dismiss the Commissioner McMahon Effect. This league knows how to make money.

If they trade Bradford, they lose any picks that would otherwise come back to them from the Rams. They're trying to lock him up. Plus Bradford's refusing to extend his contract with any team but the Eagles. He wants to rebuild his value.

IF they do trade for MM, it won't involve trading Bradford. The intention may be for MM to sit behind Bradford and then possibly take his job next year if Bradford gets too expensive.

Everyone assumes Mariota will step right in and start, but I don't think Chip is going to start a rookie QB unless he has to.

If Bradford isn't in the deal to get the 12th pick from Cleve

How many 1st rd picks and top players will it take to get at the #2 pick?

I agree with you, re: Mariota starting. If the Eagles somehow trade for him, I don't think Kelly is going to anoint him the starter for week 1.

The Eagles get Rams 2016 3rd round pick

If Bradford doesn't play at all for the Eagles in 2015.

It's kind of a weird thing like the Eagles getting a higher pick from Buffalo if Stevie Johnson would have had a better year for SF.

True, but if Bradford plays well enough to keep Mariota on the bench in year 1, that's probably more valuable than the pick.

If they trade him for Mariota, they definitely lose the picks and Mariota or Sanchez will have to start this season.

Just do the right thing, you fuckers, and take the best WR/OL/DB on your board.

Bradford and Mariota will not be on the team together

I can almost assure you of that. Sanchez was paid a bonus which the Eagles would have to eat if they traded him.

Again-from my understanding the terms if the trade are: if Bradford doesn't play for the eagles at all this year, then the eagles get the rams third round pick next year, even if he's on another team's roster.

They can still draft those players

My understanding is that if they trade Bradford, it nullifies any picks coming back to the Eagles. I'll see if I can find that...

But ultimately, I agree that Bradford won't be on the roster with Mariota. I just don't think they're getting Mariota.
