There is no buyout in his contract with his European team. They could try and work one out, but it would come at a very high price and NBA rules and regulations forces the Saric family to pay for the bulk of the buyout while also limiting how much Saric can sign with the Sixers for.

Long story short, for a team like the Sixers who aren't looking to compete right away, letting him stay over there for another year and get more seasoned is probably the best option.

I am reading the 6ers covet Russell. I wonder if they'll take Okafor if this happens. I'd be happy with it.
