I have several relatives that are cops. I don't know of any other civilian profession where you can go to work and have a real possibility of some scumbag blowing you away, so I cut them some slack. Sure there are some bad apples, just like any other profession, but painting them all with the same brush is absurd. Funny how the bleeding hearts are nowhere to be seen when a cop gets killed in the line of duty. Now that is sickening.

I would have to say that cops are NOT a civilian profession anymore. They have been militarized. I think that is a big part of the problem.

On another matter... I mean last week we see a guy with an assault rifle walking around the Atlanta airport being treated with respect by the police, and this week we seek a 15 year chica in a bikini being treated by the police like she's a threat to the world!

I agree with you for the most part....
I would hope most can agree it's pathetic and disgusting when police are killed.

But I think the issue we are seeing is when someone kills a cop, if they are caught, they are arrested and usually convicted and, depending on the state, could be put to death.

That's just not the case when a cop kills a civilian.

Having said that, minus this video, the 11 good cops would have covered up for the one out of control one.

This is where I get concerned about the effort to restrict citizens from recording cops. Not to get in their way, but to shine a light on the shit that goes on. More public scrutiny will help weed out the little tyrants.

The guy with the gun was obeying the local laws. The girl was part of fracas that ended up with someone getting arrested. What's so hard to understand?

And truth be told a cop's job is a lot less risky than a lot of others. I admire the good ones for their work but I hate that there are so many bad and corrupt ones.

She didn't get arrested, but she sure as sh*t got abused and humiliated by an out of control cop.

Do you agree or disagree? Was that treatment/approach correct?

Extra credit, was the black 15 year old girl breaking any laws? If so, please identify the law that she broke.

Extra credit: If she was breaking any laws, were there any similar laws the guy with the assault rifle could have been breaking?

It might not be top ten...but cops deal with people and most people are morons.... And the morons are what makes it unpredictable and dangerous.

A bunch of people get hurt in those other jobs...but a good deal is because of their own doing.

You seem really galled by the guy with the gun - why do you keep bringing that up? It has absolutely nothing to do with this case. Apparently it's just that you hate guns and people with guns, and you think they are all dangerous gun nuts. Obviously you are implying that all guns should be banned, and you wish gun ownership was illegal.
