I don't know his history regarding the domestic violence, but was referencing RSE's statement. That also wasn't the main point of my post. But you've ignored that point all along.

I have one thing to say about this

At least it's not an argument about Lebron James' value in the pantheon of NBA stars.

I think we can assume they knew who he was

Might have even been friends with the guy so a hug when he surrendered is not completely off the wall. If they didn't know who he was and that he was a cop then the preferential treatment argument is moot.

You give your police a lot of leeway to treat their buddies differently than yourself when they commit crimes.

According to another article, the wife averred during the divorce that her husband beat her often and threatened her with his gun. Based on the facts of her demise, I'm inclined to believe her.

And he was addicted to porn, don't forget that

You're the lawyer here, does it look like she ever made any formal complaints about abuse or is this divorce accusations only? And I agree with you, it is likely he may have abused and threatened her but if she did nothing about it how can you blame the police force for not doing anything about him?

                Yeah I know

A fellow cop gets a hug before getting thrown in the slammer, I'd probably get a knee to the balls. The horror...

I guess I have more to say than one thing

Do you really give a fat rat's fuck about a hug?

The only reality show I watch (aside from occasionally checking out the crabbers in Alaska) is "The First 48" and I've seen cops hug non-po-po murderers after they confess under questioning.

The fact that they didn't hose him down while he was pumping rounds into that car is a legit issue ... but a hug after he was disarmed and taken into custody?

                  Come on.

Antihugphans. This is probably your worst showing, terp.

He fucking chased his wife with his daughter in the front seat of the car, ran her off the road, pumped lead into her car and killed her, let his daughter go, pumped more lead into his wife's car, then gave up.

Any suggestion that anyone but a cop would have gotten a hug in those circumstances is baloney.

Well, whether she reported him or not will come out. I hope for the sake of your argument she chose to grin and bear it.

Failing to shoot him while he was shooting is suspect ... and maybe the hug is circumstantial evidence of that favoritism ... but like I posted elsewhere, I've seen cops hug non-cops after they confessed to a murder on "The First 48" television show.

Like I said, we'll see what the Neptune PD knew about this guy before yesterday and what they didn't.
