In my mind, both sides in this situation: management and the player have interests and risks at stake here.
Many people say Bradford has nothing to lose here by playing out his contract.
But I think he does have something to lose. He has another contract with guaranteed money to play for.
If he goes down with a season ending injury early in the season... or a major injury late in the season. that could basically be the end of his career. On the other hand if he gets through the season with a great year and relatively injury free the sky is the limit.
It is apparent to me the Eagles have been interested in an extension, but at this point only at their price. So both sides have skin in the game.
Maybe they can get a deal done some games into the season if Bradford is healthy and shows something.
This situation is one where it would be good to still have JoeLo around, IMO. Although there would be a high possibility he would insult Bradford and his agent with an offerand screw the whole thing up.
