Homer has an eye for talent.

He just had an issue with putting a balanced team together. Interesting article today on Hextall's belief in hockey analytics. It's the main reason they traded Grossmann.
John Erlichman, one of President Richard Nixon's closest aides, has admitted America's "War on Drugs" was a hoax designed to vilify and disrupt "the antiwar left and black people" when it was launched in 1971.

dominated at times at the college level. Most times I saw him he was excellent.

Temple should be very good and the Lame Liners will be good again.

Flyers fans have to be the most gullible people ever. They always choke the chicken. Been proven so many times.

The way the Flyers shuffle coaches and players is an embarrassment. And
look at the results. It's a bunch of guys collecting paychecks.

I don't see how anybody can care about them.

I just couldn't stand how they rehashed everything. Getting hextall was iffy but then he canned berube...went outside the box for a coach and is building through the draft and is preaching patience. It could blow up...but its a change.

Plus... I like the flyers and don't get that bent out of shape for some reason

You may now return to whatever the hell it is people in Harrisburg do. Have fun on the hayride

This really seems to bug you, thanks for the tip. I'll be sure to make plenty of obnoxious Flyers praise posts throughout the season.

                      Somehow I wasn't surprised.

Hextall made sure there wouldn't be room on the big club now matter how good any of the kids were. If he wanted or expected any of them to challenge for a spot, he wouldn't have signed Medvedev, Manning, and Schultz.

Regardless of that, Provorov looked good in the fwd zone, but not so much in the D zone. Medvedev was covering for Provorovs positioning errors quite a lot last game. Don't get me wrong, I think the kid will be good, but he wasn't ready yet.

When Hextall took the job he knew that he had a number of anchor contracts that he wasn't going to be able to trade or get rid of. So he's been stockpiling draft picks and prospects, which has taken the flyers prospect pool from bottom 5 in the league to top 10.

Not much to hang the hat on yet, but having a good prospect pool will yield better results than a bad one most of the time.

I think he was just pretty weak-willed to Snyder's demands for stars. In any event, the best thing to happen to the Flyers was Hextall leaving for LA to learn the new way to scout. We'll see if it works soon enough, but he certainly doesn't give off the mad scientist feel Chip does.

Also yea, I think this team is gonna be in decent shape in the future, especially as Hex is able to purge the Vinnies.
That camera was odd, but I could get used to it. It seemed like you could see the play develop a little better, but I got a little motion sick at first.

I think Hextall is the best choice the Flyers could have made for GM. He has a clear plan, based on success and data, and he sticks to it. He's not a knee-jerk reaction guy...which is a bit ironic, given his persona when he played.
