I'm actually moist over this matchup of a 7-5 penn state team vs a team that just fired its coach after a 9-3 campaign.
Don't hate all bowl games but majority are irrelevant, some teams don't even bother showing up, and elite players can have catastrophic injuries that robs them of huge $$$ in draft. I hope Jaylon Smith has a great insurance policy. Rose bowl teams always come to play. Always. Outside of that and the 3 games that truly count you're more often than not watching a crap game. I love college football but the bowls are out of control and generally some bad product. I've just watched less and less over the years bc of that.
And to see a elite prospect blow out his knee in a game that the outcome meant nothing totally sucks ass.
