I like me some Duce an' all but if they hire Duce fucking Staley to be the head coach of this team, I will buy a container of crab fries, take a shit in it, and leave it at Nova Care.
That would be on par with the Castelio for DC move.Obscenity is the last refuge of an inarticulate motherfucker.

I don't know if it was a serious interview, a Rooney Rule thing, or maybe a mutual thing between Lurie and Staley to give him some experience for the future.
Either way if a guy comes in and knows his stuff, why not hire him. After 3 years of Chips I'm willing to give ANYONE else a try.

Also, Duce has been a loyal son of Philadelphia for a long time. Being interviewed for a HC position helps his career, even if he's not in serious consideration. Lurie owes him that much, especially if there's a possibility the next HC might not retain him.
I'm glad he's getting interviewed, just like I hope Shurmur is interviewed. They have both been with the organization through transitional years before, and their insight on what the team needs now is invaluable.
That being said, I'd be very disappointed if either of them actually got the job.

Check this out ...
“He likes to show off his old films,” Damani said of his father, who is the running backs coach for the Eagles. “My dad was pretty good back in the day"
