    Mentor ... exactly.

Mentor, not clone. I doubt Reid taught him to intentionally manage the clock terribly, it's just something Reid does. He sucks at it. That doesn't mean Pederson will too. If anything, he should be able to learn from Reid's mistakes.

There's no way Reid didn't call the plays in that situation. And there's no way Pederson is going to contradict the man responsible for giving him his shot.

The discussion about this particular answer seems to me to be the essence of pointlessness.
so its pointless to believe the new coach when he said I did it and here was the completely ludicrous thinking that led me to do it?

for the record, the guy who you refer to as his mentor cant even fathom that there is an error with burning time off the clock when your team is down two scores. the only man he ever worked for thinks thats the move and there is no evidence suggesting that pederson thinks thats wrong.

but its pointless to take this new coach at his word?

        ok got it.

You go back to the first half of the second game he ever coached (Tampa, '99), and you could see FF had a special knack for clock mismanagement. That's not something he could teach if he wanted to. It's innate. His own special gift.

In this case, yes. Because it's the only answer he could possibly give, about a decision that obviously wasn't his.

Well, if he ever exhibits the FF clock management blind spot...

I hope HE is smart enough to realize it and get some guy standing next to him to assist with clock management.

And the proof in the pudding will be if he can think on his feet and think ahead a few plays instead of having blinders on and his face stuck in a play chart.

That is a skill and the only way we'll discover if he has "It" is when games are going on.
John Erlichman, one of President Richard Nixon's closest aides, has admitted America's "War on Drugs" was a hoax designed to vilify and disrupt "the antiwar left and black people" when it was launched in 1971.

500 internet fights, that's the number I figured when I first joined igglephans. 500 internet fights and you could consider yourself a legitimate internet-tough guy. You need them for experience, to develop leather skin. So I got started. Of course along the way you stop thinking about being tough and all that. It stops being the point. You get past the silliness of it all. But then...after...you realize that's what you are.

Doug has to be given 4 years to turn the team around since his first season will not be a good one

Any chance Peddy was covering for FF instead of Peddy being the guy who screwed it up?
