Kempski didn't say anything about Bradford's feelings

Let's be realistic. Cox isn't under contact for 3 years. Panthers just released Norman during the same situation because he was unhappy. The franchise tag is a sham and the players hate it.
All I used his quote for was to illustrate that Bradford knew this was a one-year deal that the Eagles could easily get out of after one year.

Cox and Norman are apples and oranges. Cox is 25 and has been playing at a high level for 4 NFL seasons, since he came into the league Norman is 28 and has been playing very well for about a year. Norman was a fifth round pick who was not affected by the first-round pick contract status that Cox is (i.e.-fifth year option for $8 million).

Cox is going to get paid, and Bradford's and/or Daniel's money is are not going to limit that. Also- I don't know what you mean by the franchise tag is a sham. It's never been advertised as anything but a way to keep a player with a team in the event that a new contract can't be agreed upon. It's not really "for" the players.

The company line has been that this has been...

their plan all along. Right. They couldn't have used the Daniel money for something else.

3 QBs was the plan all along?

I think they signed Bradford to make sure they had someone to keep them competitive in the weak NFC East.

I think they signed Daniel (probably overpaying, but only a $5 million cap hit for backup QB) to protect themselves against Bradford's inevitable injury and to tutor a new QB this year or next (whenever they drafted one).

In the month between signing Daniel and now, they found a way to accelerate the process and get their future QB.

Whether any of the future plans work out, that remains to be seen. This isn't going out on a limb, but Bradford gets booted between today and March of next year.

If you believe what Howie says, yes.

              3 potentially starting-caliber QBs?

I thought I heard him say:

Bradford is the starter (before and after the trade) and won't be traded (which I don't believe)

Daniel is here to back up/compete

We think (Wentz/Goff) is the QB of the future

*I thought he said the plan was to draft a QB "somewhere" in the draft

Agree. I don't think they expected the opportunity to get Wentz. They planned to take a QB third round or later. Surprising to me that Cleveland is all in on Bob.

The big gamble is the Birds go 4-12 and next year's first rounder is in the top 5.

                    It happens my friend.
500 internet fights, that's the number I figured when I first joined igglephans. 500 internet fights and you could consider yourself a legitimate internet-tough guy. You need them for experience, to develop leather skin. So I got started. Of course along the way you stop thinking about being tough and all that. It stops being the point. You get past the silliness of it all. But then...after...you realize that's what you are.

absolutely. They'll package or possibly have the 1st pick themselves, so they'll likely be able to get Watson...gross.

                                Bradford

It would be great to get a 3 and a conditional 2017 pick for Bradford.
