Devil's Advocate here: What if he did rely on an app provided by the NFL and what if that app did provide him with bad info? What has Roger Goodell done in his tenure to tell you he'd handle it correctly and have the league take responsibility for the mistake?

Chances are, Johnson's a dummy, but Goodell makes me question everything.

the APP is provided by the NFLPA not the NFL and it also is used only as a guideline and players are instructed to check and ensure no other ingredients are in what they take that may be a banned substance. He has no case, serving 10 for stupidity!

Average out the signing bonus per game for duration of contract and that's what he'll lose. Unless he has a good agent who got better terms.
