They have crap for guards. And small forward. Simmons and saric are power forwards.
Till they get guards and a 3... They'll struggle.

They'll still have a point guard. They'll need that type of guard on the team to add different dimensions

When you fall back on "trust the process" and don't strive to excel, you start learning to lose. And that's a culture that is very difficult to replace.
Cant expect the Sixers to win when three of their five best players are out with injuries (Noel, Bayless, and Simmons). Rotation really sucks. TJ is the god damn worst. With that said, Brett Brown's ball screen coverage is shit. They do a good job not allowing the roller to score but they get killed by the ball handler with that weak soft hedge shit. They got killed on that the entire night.
I still think he deserves a shot to coach Simmons. He's done some stuff that troubles me but he is still coaching a decent amount of D League talent (watching McConnell try to guard Hayward a few times was painful). I suspect he's on a very short leash with Colangelo though.

I agree with you. He has always had a lineup/rotation with multiple D-League players. That's very tough to overcome and manage. I think if he starts out 0-10 or 0-15 they will can him which I disagree with. Even if they had Noel and Bayless I think this team has a couple wins this year.
Brett Brown has to go ... they have at least one budding superstar and cannot fuck this up.
Remind you of another situation?
A bit of a different situation. Of the 70 players that Brown has had...11 are still in the NBA. That means in the 4 years he's been here...they've given him 11 players that can play in the nba with other teams.
Some of the plays have been decently designed by terrible execution. The other night I thought it was a poor play, but ended up being a terrible pick from Embiid and then a turnover on his part.
Last night...they got owned because they really don't have NBA guards. Rodgriguez is probably a solid back up, but he is slow and not good on D. McConnell blows, Stauskas is garbage, Hollis Thompson is not very good.
Couple that with when Okafor is in the game, he stinks out loud on defense and gets focused on pick and rolls...they still need more work.
I'm not saying he's great...but he was given an incomplete team and it's still not complete. They actually need guards more than anything...plus, they don't have simmons.

Simmons will be the point guard. It's really not unheard of. Magic Johnson was a 6' 8/9" point guard.
Will they have one on the team? Sure. But a lights out shooter at the other guard spot is really what they need. I wonder if Andrew Toney wants to unretire.

The best player for the team hadn't played for 2 1/2 years. Watching JoJo now, how can anyone say that he hasn't developed as a player? The offense is running through him and Okafor. There are going to be growing pains.
