I'm not crazy about this. I would much rather get a guy at 14 to grow with Wentz. If they do sign Jeffrey then I'd be praying for Cook to be there at 14. They can get a good CB in the 2nd round.

yeah, it feels weird that both starting WRs are veteran FA acquisitions. ideally, you'd want a hit on a draft pick. but what happens if BPA at 14 isn't a WR, and wentz is stuck with the same guys again? or if a WR at 14 is a bust? one concern i had with wentz was that he would lose confidence due to his terrible help, so at least these guys are an improvement.

i suppose that they could still go WR considering what they're paying smith. but i have to admit, i'm very interested in the possibility of cook at 14. it is the madden scenario. a bunch of new toys for seņor wentz.

Yeah, I hear you. I feel pretty good about Williams and Davis both being legit pros, but you are right that there is no guarantee either are there. If they sign Jeffrey and Cook ist there at 14 I think you have to pull the trigger.

When was the last time the Eagles drafted and developed a top WR?

Sign me up for Jeffrey and draft for other positions of need. I think you all are severely underestimating Alshon's talent. A corps of Jeffrey, Matthews, and Smith would be a massive upgrade over last season's group.
