    Seems obvious to me.

The sad cynic in me just sees it as trump throwing red meat at his base though. #sad Just another thing for every 23/hr news station (and espn) to talk about for a cycle.

Interesting take seeing as pretty much everyone in the country is talking about it right now. Seems like it raised awareness pretty well.

Also, "disrespecting the flag" is horseshit. The whole patriotic farce at the beginning of every game is unnecessary and the people bitching about this are every bit the outrage seeking babies that you claim to despise.

The NFL has nothing to do with the U.S. military. It's just patronizing, feel-good bullshit to endear themselves to fans and now the players have cleverly used it as an enormous platform to bring attention to civil rights abuses.

I think the stage is completely appropriate. People who served died for freedom and equality for everyone. The protest is bringing awareness that the values our nation was founded on aren't afforded to all. That's a problem.

Dumb it down for us morons. Maybe get them to wear those socks Kaepernick had on. I got that message loud and clear.

Like others on this thread, I gave my opinion and I'm entitled to it. I was taught very young to think for myself. I don't need an athlete or actor or anyone else to form an opinion. I call it the way I see it not what what's 'politically correct'. Life's too short to worry about what others think.

We know you know what the protest is about. Everyone knows.

Just say you don't care. It's easier.

At least be honest in your lack of empathy.

OK, I lied. I took a quick glance and saw 'Black' and 'White' then I stopped reading. I have no idea why so many people are obsessed with this white guilt nonsense. It's kinda creepy.

That fact that you call it "white guilt" makes your opinion of others pretty clear.

We get it. Institutionalized racism isn't your problem.

By the way, can you tell Terp I'm not replying to him? He's the creepiest guy on this board.

I'm surprised you stayed in such an unpredictable political thread like this on igglephans. That's my contribution.

I'm a glutton for punishment. I typically like to steer clear of this nonsense but I had this momentary lapse of judgment. That being said, I'm out. I need a beer.
