I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt on the first missed FG, but the second was even further back in no man’s land and wouldn’t have even made it a two possession game. Both were puzzling decisions because imo one of Dougie’s best qualities is his willingness to go for it in situations where coaches historically are too conservative.

The decision to throw to Goedert on the late second down worked out, but it wasn’t Dougie’s best day by any means. Luckily Schwartz did a great job.
Not to beat a dead horse but a guy was wide open on that 3rd and 1 play. Ball was tipped otherwise it was a definite first down. The 4th and 1 play is another story.

If an OC is calling the plays we're giving him a hard time today and praising Pederson on the macro level for having a bunch of bums a game away from the division. It's ok to question a few micro decisions without acting like he's the worst coach in NFL history (not talking about you).

Totally understand your point and makes sense. But if your are going to go for it on 4th the play call should be run on 3rd and 4th. The punt decision itself is not a micro decision that could have cost them huge as they spotted Dallas the ball at nearly the 50 which is not the call to make in a close 2 possession game of which is a FG.

Like Wentz's fumbles, Doug needs to understand the difference between aggressive and putting his team behind the 8 ball that's all me and some are saying. Once again, I WANT HIM HERE IN PHILLY.

So when you said something along the lines of "anyone who thinks Doug is good should be shot"...that was mayyyybe a bit reactionary and didnt need its own post during the game? Do ya see McCarthy's point about your game threads now?

Yes I get it that people get pissed off and post in anger and frustration , many do and I believe most have and I don't have to keep going back to prove we all go off the rails during games.

Is he a good team guy yes. Do I Beleive he will benefit from having a legit OC that can help him game plan and maybe prevent some of the bone head play calls, yes!

I've been dumbfounded by Doug more than once so I get some of the criticism - does seem like the strongest Wentz defenders are also the most harsh critics of the head coach, it has been that way since year 1 and oddly the coach winning a super bowl without Wentz playing a single playoff game didn't change that.

Look I get I am critical of Doug but also critical of Wentz when called for. I don't blindly give Wentz a pass when he plays poorly but don't also call for McCown if I think there is another answer at the position (not saying you say that). Some seem to forget just how bad we had it before he came along.

Doug is a good to great HC but I believe a real OC can help him and I am a firm believer that Reich did. Not saying Reich deserves all the credit for the SB as far as coaching that would be assenine but someone to help bounce ideas off and help with game plans and half time adjustments would take some pressure off Doug and maybe can help propel him to be a better GameDay play caller. I don't know that's just my 2 worthless cents

Would your grandmother be proud of the way you are acting? It’s a fucking internet message board. I mean, holy shit guy, you are acting like a 13 year old. Do you really want to alienate people here like this?

I have been frustrated with some dumb play calling especially this year and yes I have given Riech and DeFilippo some credit in the Superbowl year but I think he needs a real OC to help him. He is definitely a guy the players like and rally around and could still lead this team and in no way should be considered on the hot seat period. He is frustrating at times; it is one thing to be aggressive and another to put your team behind the 8 ball with play calls that are clearly wrong that's all.
I said nothing in my post about anyone wanting anyone fired. I was just responding to McCarthy’s post about Pederson’s decision-making yesterday.

My comment about calling for Doug to be fired wasn't directed at you but at people suggesting that is what I am clamoring for which is not. Apologies if you took it that way.

Really, I'm the only one who has gone at people in low ways now that is where you want to go with this? No one has ever said demeaning comments to others?? Ok. And do me a favor don't bring up family, ever! Merry Christmas RSE!

Not always. When you complete 70 percent of your passes, it makes sense to throw sometimes. Can't be totally predictable.

Anyway, I heard Wentz changed the fourth down call at the LOS. I wouldn't overanalyze it.
