Maybe he will really get his way and Washington will bring in Deshaun Watson,

I hated the Hurts pick but I hope it works out. I don't see the point in rooting for losing if you don't think Howie will ever go anywhere.
Are you saying the QB Factory is going to admit they made a mistake by drafting Hurts right after moving Wentz? I guess anything is possible. Regardless, this team is going nowhere next season so I'm all for the tank. The next step would be start trading other players like Slay and Cox.

They drafted Hurts before Wentz’s extension even kicked in. So...maybe? They might roll with Hurts knowing that if he’s bad they can go QB again. They also might hit on picks 6 and ~20, resulting in a good season. It’s extremely hard to tank in the NFL and being in the NFC East makes it even harder.

They will win games because they have one of the easiest schedules in the NFL this season. I'm just hoping Hurts plays all season. I think that should get them a top 10 pick and there's a few quarterbacks out there projected to go at the very top (Shough, Howell, Slovis, Rattler). I'm not sure if they're the level of Lawrence but obviously it's still early. If the Eagles end up with a first-rounder, I hope it's for next year's draft so they have the leverage to trade to move up if necessary. Right now, it's safe to say this team isn't good. If the worst team in the pathetic NFC East is relying on their incompetent GM to actually finally strike it rich in the draft, I love my odds. The best thing that happened is that they are still way over the cap. That will prevent the CGM from bringing in more stiffs. If things break right, they can offload the vets during the trade deadline.
