  • Way too much Hurts hate going on here for me

Last year he was Jesus Christ with a football helmet. Now he's just another washed up bum. No no, I'm not buying that at all. If Shane Steichen were still here this offense would be again be something special, rather than a pre-season vanilla piece of crap. Johnson is just a nightmare play caller. At times it seems like he has no clue as to what's going on and what to do.

I believe by this point it is universally agreed (well, almost) that the hirings of Johnson and Desai pretty much thrust a good team into the world of mediocrity. For this Sirianni certainly can shoulder much of the blame. I'm only just another spectator, but by game #3 this season I was screaming for a new OC and DC. We may have been winning, but seemed obvious that neither guy was worth even a cup of cold piss. Now everyone knows.

As for last night, the Iggs have no one to blame for the loss but themselves. Terrible play calling in crunch time when the offense should have easily put the game away (really, a bomb to Watkins when we were comfortably moving the ball and the clock toward victory); and the total void of defense on the Hags last drive.

Maybe, no actually, we did not deserve a win;' but if the game was officiated correctly, we win anyway. False start on Kelce means 4 less point for Iggles. Ridiculous PI on Hags 4th and 2 play keeps their drive going. Non PI call on long pass to Watkins takes away 7 points. Why not tell us before kickoff which team is slated for victory so we can watch a movie on Netflix instead.

"It's not getting any smarter out there. You have to come to terms with stupidity, and make it work for you."

There are a lot of people who have been waiting for some adversity so they can blast Hurts. They have never liked him and never will. When the team is winning they haven’t been able to criticize him too much. Now they are taking the opportunity.

Having said that, something is off with Hurts. He showed me he could play well last year so I have to look at what has changed this year. I personally think the offense is too geared to the big play, which has the effect of bringing out Hurts bad habits.

Also, it seems rare that I look at a play run by the Eagles and think to myself “Wow, that was a clever play!” Other teams show a lot more imagination.

Amen! But I really didn't like our QB saying he didn't think they are committed enough when he is throwing brutal picks and fumbles a lot. Be nice to see him make better decisions with the football and ball security.

If Johnson is a nightmare on gameday (and he is), it stands to reason that he's also equally bad during the week. It seems painfully obvious that Hurts is getting no useful coaching from this staff. His consistently reckless play and bad decision making are a testament to that. The gap between Shane Steichen and Brian Johnson is the difference between '22 and '23 Jalen Hurts, and the gap is massive.

It’s not all on him. The offensive line has been much less effective this year and he is facing a ton of pressure. They call long developing pass routes for Smith and Brown which makes the rush pressure even worse. The only answer they have for he pressure is the WR screen which everyone can see coming because of the formation. I also find it interesting that things started getting bad as soon as Watkins got back in the lineup. It’s like they are playing with one less weapon.

All of that and I think he has been Hurt most of the year. Add to it all and his coordinator and head coach have done nothing to help the situation. He has a right to be mad.

Why we are still trying to make Gainwell and Watkins a thing I will never understand.

‘I forgot Gainwell, good point. Why no Scott? Are they waiting to play the Giants? This team could use a jolt of toughness.

The bottom line is that he has regressed…considerably!! He can’t read a defense, can’t go through his progressions, bails from clean pockets and misses wide open receivers in favor of the all or nothing play

He has been disinterested and dejected all fuckin season. On the sidelines, he’s not talking to his teammates, watching the tablet with his OC, nothing

The offensive issues with this shitbag team fall on him. Now he’s throwing his teammates under the bus

Maybe I’m wrong and hopefully he proves me to be just that but as of right now, I’m out on this clown and flower boy

Hurts is still my guy 110%. He made some improvements by throwing the ball away a few times instead of getting sacked. Ran the ball well. I wasn't fond of the deep balls at the end of the game that both got picked. I also think he needs to work on his pocket, beating the blitz and seeing the whole field.

I’m a Hurts fan but this is 2018 all over again. The QB plays worse, let’s blame it on the OC. This is not to say that they don’t miss Steichen, but I don’t for a second believe that Indy poached the “real mastermind” from this coaching staff for the second time in 6 years.

Last night Brian Johnson did exactly what people have been begging him to do. The turnovers are just on Hurts. Even on the final pass, he had Gainwell open with no one near him.

Let’s not forget that 3 of the last four game have been played in lousy weather. The other one in a dome they never play well in. Add in that Hurts was really sick and had to fly six hours to play in the rain and maybe we should cut him some slack for last night. They had a lead and the other team at their own 8 yard line with less that two minutes left and they scored. This one is on the D.
