    The draft:

I'm more concerned with this team getting a real starting QB than turning this kid into a future draft pick.

    FOOLE'S GOLD!

Note: Most people were pretty even keel on Foles draft prospects. Anthony wasn't (shocker), but the usual suspects were intrigued and saw him as a prospect. This was interesting (from around his first preseason):

Nobody really knows how good, average, or bad Foles is, but what he has shown is certainly encouraging

Hello, Chip? What the FUCK do you have against getting HEALTHY players?

Are you trying to tell us the BEST you could do in deals for the best running back the Eagles have ever had, and a quarterback who just two years ago had one of the greatest seasons any NFL quarterback has had in decades, were players who made surgeons, nurses and a couple of hospitals extremely wealthy and had them clapping their hands and giggling like schoolgirls??

Ryan Mathews? A running back who gives new meaning to the phrase "freak injury?

There. I've vented. I got it out of my system and I promise if, Heaven forbid, my current feelings turn out to have been warranted, I will not say I was right. However I will probably join the fans searching for a big barrel of tar and a rail with which to ride you out of town.

Conversely if you are right and the trio of Alonso, Bradford and Mathews turns out to be three certifiable gems, I definitely WILL admit I was dead wrong and that you are a genius.

Frankly I hope the Football Gods make that admission a necessity.

I didn't link, but I also totally forgot when Chump said he was offered a 1st for Sammy Sleeves. Man, that guy was a wreck.

Foles has caught lightning in a bottle before. If it's his team the rest of the way, he just stepped into a dream-come-true scenario. No way I'm giving up on this season now... no fucking way.

This seasons over. 2018 is probably shot too.

I will probably change this soon but I would like everybody to take a look at my current avatar. Lightning in a bottle

I put it up it when BDN took over in 2017. It symbolized my heart at that moment and it is what happened.

    BDN did it.

A few years back the Eagles had a game against AZ. This was chip kelly’s last year and cards were legit SB contender.

I went over to a cards board and I shit you not their was a poster named the token asshole saying he is done being an eagles fan and likes what the cardinals are building and that is his new team. Since then we won a sb and they are the worst team😂😂😂 He was the mush that held us back all these years.
Cowboys last SB win is old enough to drink beer

Man, that thread takes me right back to that night (and morning) after the Rams game. What a great, nervous, exciting, surreal time that was.

Greatest. Season. Ever. God bless Nicky Foles.

Yeah, you were in that one thread with OB, I think. More than a few folks talked about talking themselves into Foles (fairly or unfairly, myself included).

One thing that I think makes the whole Foles thing special is, we're obviously thrilled that he won us a Super Bowl, literally no one else has ever done that, but also he has this incredible affinity to Philadelphia. It's not just the Eagles, but the City and fans as a whole draw him here. He'll probably be here after his career ends (or a frequent visitor). We love Nick and he loves us. truly an incredible story.

It's because he's a sincere dork that truly cares. Plus, he has stretches of brilliance. I remember when someone tackled sproles in a game from 2014 and someone bent sproles in a pretzel. Foles was mic'd up and came to the defense of sproles and gave the ref a bunch of sh!t for not protecting sproles.

Man, there were some great hot takes on Foles.

Give credit to Kelly Green for being completely right about the 2015 off-season! (Even though Mathews was a decent Eagle).

That game losing fumble against Detroit is the only memory I have of Matthews at this point.

Yeah, that was bad. But he had some good games in 2016 and was a better back than Murray in 2015. Would have been better off with a trio of Mathews, Sproles, and a Smallwood type than they were with Murray as the feature back.
