Disgraceful hitting performance. They only have 4 stolen bases all fucking season. Fuck Kapler.

WAIT WAIT WAIT......SO IT'S THE MANAGER'S FAULT THAT PROFESSIONAL PLAYERS ARE STRUGGLING AT THE PLATE?
IT'S THE MANAGER'S FAULT WHEN MUTIMILLION DOLLAR MLB PLAYERS SWING AND MISS.
IT'S THE MANAGER'S FAULT THAT PROFESSIONAL PLAYERS CAN'T HIT AWAY FROM A SHIFT AND HIT IT WHERE THEY AIN'T.
ALRIGHTY THEN."LIFE IS FULL OF 4TH AND 1 DECISIONS, CHOOSE YOUR NEXT CROSSROADS WISELY.

Yes it is because the team takes on his do not give a shit mentality. He does nothing to try to get anything going when the team needs a spark. How about a bunt or try to steal a base maybe even 3rd base once in a fucking while? They have 4 steals all year, play no hit and run and flat out didn’t show up last night. They seemed disinterested in the game.

Hello Angelo Cataldi, is that you?
What a load of WIP-generated horseshit.

Oh, look at that, Phillies are in FIRST PLACE.Last edited by 06hawkalum; 05-01-2019, 07:10 AM.

While I really don't think much of baseball managers (Charlie won a World Series), CocoNuts didn't get a challenge in on time last night and it cost them at least one run. Cabrera was tagged out at first base on a bonehead play and the ump called him safe. If CocoNuts got the challenge in on time, he would have been called out. Instead, he took to long and Goodrum came up next and hit a two-run shot.
I agree with what you're saying though, it's still on the players.

If they don't make the playoffs they will likely make a few more splashy FA acquisitions while dealing Hernandez and Herrera to clear some $$$ off the books.
The 2020 roster should be an improvement over the current version. Statistically they will almost certainly have one of the highest expected win totals heading into next year.
If they fail to make the playoffs in 2019 AND 2020 there will, rightfully, be a new skipper in the dugout on Opening Day 2021.
But hey, it's May 2 and the Phils are in first place by two games.Last edited by 06hawkalum; 05-02-2019, 10:12 AM.
