It's something that happens rarely and certainly should not change a rule requiring honesty and responsibility from people playing golf.

Ironically, all this outrage about telephone calls is from a situation that actually was not caused by a telephone call.

The Masters shitstorm would have occurred anyway, because it was caused by the interview at which Woods admitted to engaging in an action with a particular mindset that violated a rule (which I do not think he understood at the time was a violation).

But we don't want to go down that road, unless you want me to supplant KG as ratings king.

I'm no golf nut, I kind of understand the scoring, and I've played once in my entire life. I shot a 73 my very first time and thought I was ready for the tour, then my buddy reminded me that 73 would be good for a round of 18, but we had only played 9. As far as this thing with Tiger and the marshalls, it seems like a classic case of he said, she said. I think it's getting way more coverage than necessary.

One of my favorite golf jokes (which I've posted before here) is the one where the cops get a call that a man killed his wife.

They find her on the carpet and ask her husband what happened.

Tiger talked to an escort who wears the same lanyard as the Marshall's . Also you can see him pointing at someone on the overhead shot . The Marshall was also misquoted and said the writer took his quote out of context , which is not surprising because almost every golf writer hates tiger . Golf fans and golfers themselves are mostly aWful people and that's coming from a golfer. So I'm happy to watch them all get their panties in a bunch every week tiger plays .

The VAST majority of the people I meet (now, granted, I play public courses) are fucking great ... and I play as a single about half the time.

Having read the story, although I don't like Woods' persona and wouldn't put it past him to lie about something, I can no longer be convinced he was a liar on this when there's a plausible story that he mistook someone for a marshall.

My previous thought was based on considering the marshalls more plausible than Woods, but now there's a way where neither were lying.

Like I said, however, to the extent I can form an opinion on a public figure, I still don't like his persona.
