Who said they're alternating series? I read that they'd try to get each QB 12-20 snaps in the 1st quarter and then Barkley would take over.

At any rate, Kelly doesn't know what Reid was asking his QB's to do, so I assume he wants to see how they run his offense with pressure/hitting for a couple of games before he makes the most important decision of the year.
