    Uh, I know he didn't overthrow it ... that's what I stated.

Nor did I state it was a great throw.

Still, an overthrow would have eliminated the lucky positive that happened on the bad short throw.

And you ignored what I noted is the more important point ... ie. that despite the lucky TD and many other factors being involved (as always are in team sport), Foles made big plays that weren't luck to help win the game in key spots.

Nice try though on attempting to revive the Vick brain fart, but that's about as apples and oranges as one can be.

I didnt ignore any of it but I didn't say that Foles didn't make any big plays either. I noted what I thought were the key plays because they changed turnovers to scores and vice versa. Your mileage may differ. Obviously other plays mattered too.

Pointing out that the Eagles got very lucky on a bad throw seemed kinda...pointless. Random event.

I certainly don't place Foles in the HOF and do not think many you poke at do either, but he looks like a different guy than Hoying or Klob.

I only mentioned that play because you said it was a key and I found it ironic that his arm strength, which is probably the biggest thing critics focus on, sort of "caused" the lucky TD.

And while I think he has been lucky on some throws, he has been in a position to be lucky and has made some big plays IMO because he's willing to let a receiver try to make a play.

On the other hand, I liked reading in an article today that he say's he is recognizing the windows are smaller in the pros than in college and that the more he plays the better he's getting at making better decisions.

He may just be a game manager or good backup, but I still stand by my assertion that they need to declare him the starter win or lose, bad or good, to find out what he is.

And I think his performance in these 4 games justifies it.

If he keeps playing well at some point Kelly has to give him the "official" nod, I would think it a bit odd that the guy that could potentially have best stats at the end of the year would still be called a backup!
