Why? Maybe he's trying to be an opportunist for more money. Maybe he is taking an opportunity to be spiteful to a person(s) and/or organization. Maybe this is a way to leverage his ticket out of town, especially with Reid and Vick gone.

Maybe it was all a game of chicken that went awry because of leaked information.

Or there could be unknown issues, which I doubt.
As far as I know he has like no more guaranteed money... but if he is here first day of the season he gets ten million. I would think he would want to restructure for more guanteed money.

    Who knows.

There's got to be a way to make everyone happy. I wonder if the Eagles wanted to work something out with DJax before FA started, because they wanted to know how to address FA?

there was no doubt that 5 was working out and staying in football shape, just wonder if 10 has shown any signs of working at his craft since January?

I've given this a lot of thought because I like Jackson. But coaches have to have players that buy into their system, or chaos can result. The teams that win the most championships are often team focused.

Chip is the coach. I will hate to see Jackson go, but their can only be one cook in the kitchen. I don't think Jackson will do as well with other teams unless he lands in one or two special situations. I think the Eagles will miss him. But, at the end of the day, you have to go with the coach. So far he has been right.

There's no evidence that Jackson didn't buy into the system. In fact, just the opposite. The guy's a special talent. At 5-10 and 175 with a wet towel wrapped around him there are some things he can't do well --- like block. But there are other things he can do that nobody else can. He wanted to play special teams. Said so many times. And in fact, did. How many star WR's want to return punts? Jackson does.

If he can't do something it's not because of lack of desire, but lack of size.

If Kelly can't work with that, Kelly is a big problem. I think people might start to miss Reid and Banner.

                    That will never happen

I want Jax to stay but he wa crowing about his contract as soon as the last game ended and he was only 2 years in to it

Jax is a diva and with how deep this draft is as WR Chip must think he's replaceable

Bullshit. Depending on the whim of the person making the statement this can be spun pro-FO or anti-FO.

Pro-FO: They're cleaning house, getting the right type of players who buy into the system and culture, aren't going to let one talented player hold them hostage, etc.

                      Anti-FO: What you said.

And either side is especially bullshit until the outcome is determined to see if things work out or not. If he's traded/released/kept/re-upped - it comes down to overall confidence in Kelly and the FO to determine one's feelings about the decision are good or bad.

He didn't draft him, how is it CK's fault?

What the hell did Jackson even do this off season? Could someone please tell me? A reporter asked him if he thought he should be paid more. He didnt demand a new contract, he said what everyone here would say. What the hell did he do.

I'm predicting it now, this decision and how it was handled will determine Chip's future in the NFL, guaranteed.
