I'm not suggesting the NBA should not have reacted or that advertisers cannot do what they are doing.

However, I will be very interested in seeing if there is a legal objection, assuming the recording was illegal, to taking his property when the basis for it was discovered through a violation of a privacy right.

It's not an area of expertise for me, but it was a thought I had.

EDITED TO ADD: Another interesting legal question is whether his property can be taken if the basis is that he's a bigoted asshole (as Mark Cuban has already suggested).

Then my premise is fucked and the privacy angle, if there is one to begin with, isn't there.

Worst case scenario he wins some "illegal recording" case and gets to remain an owner of the LA Clippers. Same scenario if he ties it up in court on purpose. I could be wrong, but I think the language in the NBA constitution can remove the Clippers from the NBA. So he can own a franchise that doesn't get to play in the NBA. Will that ever happen, hell no.
500 internet fights, that's the number I figured when I first joined igglephans. 500 internet fights and you could consider yourself a legitimate internet-tough guy. You need them for experience, to develop leather skin. So I got started. Of course along the way you stop thinking about being tough and all that. It stops being the point. You get past the silliness of it all. But then...after...you realize that's what you are.
