Jesus, the kid was only four. I have a son the same age, I can't imagine hitting him with a fucking branch multiple times and hard enough to inflict some damage. Fuck him, piece of shit.

That was a pretty critical piece of info that was not mentioned in the first report. This will not end well for him

Let's not rush to judgement, I'm sure there will be a tweet from the Vikings saying how his son apologizes for his role in the beating.

He's been deactivated for Sunday's game.

Shouldn't he getting six games off for domestic violence?

Pretty bad. IMO it wouldn't be a big deal if the kid was a bit older but 4? shit.

Supposedly those pics were taken a week after the initial beating, so you can imagine what the injuries looked like when they were fresh.

If I was owner/coach of a team I would ban Twitter for all athletes. These guys are just too stupid to use it appropriately consistently.

This is the exact text from the new NFL domestic abuse policy:

Violations of the Personal Conduct Policy regarding assault, battery, domestic violence and sexual assault that involve physical force will be subject to enhanced discipline. A first offense will be subject to a suspension of six weeks without pay. Mitigating circumstances will be considered, and more severe discipline will be imposed if there are aggravating circumstances such as the presence or use of a weapon, choking, repeated striking, or when the act is committed against a pregnant woman or in the presence of a child. A second offense will result in banishment from the league; an offender may petition for reinstatement after one year but there is no assurance that the petition will be granted. These disciplinary consequences apply to all NFL personnel.

According to this policy, he should be getting MORE than 6 games because of the involvement of a child and also possibly the use of a weapon (if you would consider the switch a weapon - based on the photos, I might).

Shouldn't he get his day in court first...before the ban?
